This tomb was discovered in the vast necropolis of the Callatis city dated from Roman-Byzantine era and belongs to the category of hypogeum tombs type, spread throughout Roman Empire. The tomb is located at -1,20m to walking level, the access in the funeral chamber is made via dromos, with a convex ceiling, covered with chalk boards and 5 steps of profiled chalk blocks. On the plaster of the funeral chamber were painted two Christian inscriptions, quoted from Psalms: “Lord, my Help and Savior (Messiah)”and “I shall fear no evil for thou art with me, Lord!” Both inscriptions discovered in the Christian Tomb in Callatis are quotes from Psalms, which, certainly, is a rarity for early Christian monuments.
