Natural reservation of Hagieni Forest
Located on the left side of Mangalia-Albesti road, the Hagieni Forest is one of the most valuable pieces of Dobrogea (Dobruja) natural heritage. The Reserve amazes through the diversity of the landscape, so different from the coast which is only a few kilometers away and the fauna rarities that have found refuge in this vegetation island, now surrounded by crops. You can find here ponds with aquatic vegetation and swamp, rocky steppes that lay in full sun, slopes and limestone ravines, patches of spiny shrubs, steppe vegetation clearings and shady forests of different species, prevailing being a natural forest of sub-Mediterranean type.
