Children’s Day
Over 2000 school and kindergarten attending children from all learning institutions in Mangalia take part in the annual Children Carnival. Accompanied by parents and teachers, the children form two columns and simultaneously start from the central Round About and the Military Centre. Children from each grade wear various costumes: witches, bees, butterflies, cartoon characters, fairies and others. The meeting place is in front of the Cultural Centre. During the procession, the participants are accompanied by clowns and other characters while drums and local bands play in the background.
